Praise God! After acquiring 35 acres of property in March 2005 God is moving very fast. We started by putting in a road and cutting a pad. We then put up a temporary shed, put in a septic system and started the footings for the warehouse. In December 2005, we received a tractor. We built an area to lock up the tractor and had a team from Tennessee come down to put a roof on the tractor shed and started building the first restrooms.
July 2006 we met with a contractor about costs for the first 2 houses. After much prayer we contacted our friends in Tennessee to let them know what was going on. In a short period of time they said we should go ahead and have the first 2 houses done as soon as possible. This brings us up to August 18th the first meeting with the contractor, and engineer. They broke ground August 21 and have not stopped yet. Today is October 25th and the houses are ready for the roof and the warehouse is done, and we have electricity.
March 15th 2007 we received the keys to both houses. During this two year period we keep busy with remote clinics, the clinic in Esmeralda, and a number of teams came to do VBS in the surrounding areas. We have also worked with Vine International and Joni and friends (Wheels for the World )from Knoxville Tennessee. These organizations come and do medical clinics and wheelchair distributions.
